Andrew Honkala’s expertise lies in Strength Training, Functional Fitness, and Bodybuilding. He is an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer (NCCPT proctored) with several certifications including ISSA Strength and Conditioning, ISSA Bodybuilding, ISSA Personal Trainer (non NCCPT), and ISSA CPR/AED. Andrew’s motivation to become a personal trainer emerged from his personal journey of fluctuating fitness levels and the realization that he could help others in a scientifically sound manner. Andrew’s fitness journey started with powerlifting during high school, but a torn ACL led to a period of weight gain and insecurity. Determined to change, he embarked on a weight loss journey. After further experiences, he embraced his love for fitness and transitioned into a personal training career. Andrew connects with clients through humor, shared interests, and motivation. He believes in pushing beyond comfort zones and his favorite fitness quotes, “You never want to show the weight that you’re scared!” and “Do, or do not. There is no try,” reflect his philosophy. Beyond fitness, Andrew enjoys automotive activities, hunting/fishing, cooking, reading, and gardening.
