GRIT classes focus on timing, effort, and intensity. You work hard and then you rest with varying intervals. These classes are 30-minute high-intensity interval training (HIIT) sports conditioning workouts that build your athleticism. In a GRIT workout, you will often use a step, bodyweight exercises and multi-dimensional sports conditioning training to increase your overall athletic performance (strength, agility, speed and power) and to improve your cardiovascular fitness which maximizes caloric burn.
Here, you will use a variety of exercises to find the challenge and intensity you need to get results fast. LES MILLS GRIT takes HIIT and combines it with powerful music and inspirational coaches who will be down on the floor with you, motivating you to go harder to get fit, fast.
And, because there are so many options, you will never be bored, even if you regularly attend a class. Plus, these classes take you to your limit. So, we recommend attending classes as much as desired but, at a minimum, once a week. This will work to build your metabolism and progress you on your fitness journey.

TABATA, BURN ZONE and PULSE STUDIO classes are amazing options. TABATA is generally approached with four-minute increments and rest periods are typically only 10 seconds. Whereas other HIIT classes can have longer recovery periods, sometimes up to two minutes. And, two minute rest intervals are something you’ll find in our BURN ZONE classes. However, BURN ZONE offers HIIT workouts and focuses on cardiovascular improvement. This is evident in its regular use of the rowers and treadmills. Alternatively, PULSE STUDIO workouts focus on functional movements and strength training.

We recommend comfortable fitting activewear. As for footwear, we recommend athletic shoes.
