And, no previous experience is necessary. This ballet-inspired workout uses body weight, mats, light weights and the open space of the group exercise studio. With those tools, you’ll challenge and develop your physique, agility and movement control.

Class Design

LES MILLS BARRE™ classes focus on balance, agility, and ballet-like movements. They are also a modern version of classic balletic training; a 30-minute workout designed to shape and tone postural muscles, build core strength, and allow you to escape the everyday. Incorporating classic ballet positions, with modern music, LES MILLS BARRE is a combination of cardio and strength with high reps of small range-of-motion movements and very light weights.

Ballet dancers are among the world’s strongest athletes. LES MILLS BARRE combines a cardio peak with intensely targeted, high rep exercises that isolate and strengthen your muscles.

And, because there are so many variations in these classes, you will never get bored. Moreover, because these classes are primarily cardio workouts, we recommend attending classes as much as desired but, at a minimum, once a week. This will work to efficiently build your metabolism and your physique.

What should I wear?

We recommend comfortable fitting activewear. As for footwear, we recommend athletic shoes.
