BARRE CLASSES AT CLUB FITNESS

If you’re new, or, you’ve been going everyday for years, the BARRE classes at Club Fitness are for you.  No dance experience is necessary because BARRE classes are not dance classes.  These head-to-toe workouts fuse together sculpting movements from ballet, yoga, and pilates to create long, lean, and toned muscles!

There are a lot of reasons to try a BARRE class at Club Fitness:

– Class Design

Most classes use a combination of postures inspired by ballet and other disciplines like yoga and Pilates. The barre, or in some cases a chair, is used to balance yourself while doing exercises that focus on isometric strength training (holding your body still while you engage a certain set of muscle) combined with high reps of small range-of-motion movements. Unlike your Pilates and core workouts, BARRE is going to allow you to come off the ground more, providing standing maneuvers like in ballet, but still providing the same benefits.

All classes at Club Fitness are for everybody and every body. And, our instructors are experienced in providing an effective workout for all levels of physical ability. We want our classes to be open to everyone but to also challenge everyone who attends.

– What to Wear?

What to wear to a BARRE class: think yoga wear. Leggings, sports bra, t-shirt or tank top will do the trick. And, as for footwear, you won’t need it. Go barefoot or do the class in socks.
